A: The pour is a dark amber color bordering in mahogany with a thin off-white head. S: The nose is primarily toasted, biscuity malts with a touch of caramel sweetness. T: The flavor profile follows the nose for the most part with the same toasted bready, biscuity malts. A mild caramel flavor, but the sweetness isn’t near as pronounced as I would have anticipated. There is a subtle bitterness to the finish. M: A medium body with some moderate, tingly carbonation. D: An easy drinking Irish Red, just like you would expect. I’m glad that this one was not overly sweet, as a lot of red ales tend to be.
