One of my favorite DIPAs. Overload of citra hops and citrus all over this thing.

Bottle @ The WWGT2D? Tasting. Thanks, GRG! The pourís really deep cherry amber with a tight white head. Pretty sweet, ballsy nose. Melon and strawberry. Fruit by the foot. Grass and tropical undergrowth. The taste is hugely sweet. Ribbon candy, caramel. Red berries. Quite sugary and bitter on the finish. Full body, big. Overall, outsized in every way.

On tap at Beercraft. Pours an amber color without much head. Broad hop flavors with a hint of citrus. Mild overall.

On tap @ Beercraft (rp). Appearance was different than most DIPAís, Dark Amber color. Taste was fruity/citrusy with a bitter finish. Could definitely throw a few of these back. Really smooth.

Bottle thanks to Jason for sharing. Pours a clear amber color with a small foamy head that sits and lingers nicely. Nice musty hop aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, apples, pine, grass and caramel. Taste is actually more sweet than bitter. Musty grass, tropical fruit, caramel apple, pine. Nice spicy hop kick in the finish. Great oily mouthfeel. Awesome stuff.

Bottle: The aroma consists big tropical fruits, citrus, pineapple, mango, and citrus. It pours a transparent amber with a two finger white head. Thereís a decent amount of thin webbing left on the sides of glass. The flavor starts with moderate tropical fruits, pineapple, mango and sweet citrus. The finish has citrus hops, light grapefruit, and a touch of alcohol. Itís medium-full bodied with mild carbonation and a slightly oily mouthfeel.

Man oh man I have wanted to try this for a long time. Big thanks to Pablo (pabloj671) for sharing this beast. The 22oz bomber pours with a clear deep copper body that has gold hues and supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma unleashes big mango and malt sweetened grapefruit and tangelo fruitiness that slides right into a mix of pine and thin layers of dank onion hoppiness. Oh wow. This has been long overdue. The taste is just as big and rich as the nose indicated. I get juicy mango fruity sweetness, nice malt sweetened grapefruit and clementine to start and then the hop bitterness ratchets up with pine and dank onion and shallot hoppiness stirring things up. This is big and rich and smooth yet stays fairly restrained as the hop bitterness is firm but not brash. Solid effort here. I could drink this every day, no problem.

Thanks to Andrew for this brew, Cheerís andrew! Bottled: unk A: Pours a blood orange ale with single finger light tan head. This dissipates relatively quickly leaving a medium sheet of the same. Little to no lacing. Excellent clarity. S: Lots of pine and resin on this one. Not as much citrus as anticipated. Some hints of cotton candy. ABV obvious here. Plenty sweet from the ABV and malt profile. Above average, but not great. T: Sweet, boozy, hot on the ABV again. Plenty of pineapple, pine, resin flavors. Medium to low bitterness on this one. M: Medium to high body with low carbonation. Long slick finish. O: Well done brew, but would take any of Alpineís offerings over this any day of the week. ABV isnít justified in the relative simplicity of the flavor profile. Serving type: bottle 04-13-2011
