Bomber poured into a tulip glass. Dark copper in color with a thin tan ring of foam. Aroma of pine and sweet caramel malt. Taste is sweet and moderately bitter. Not sure of the age on this one, if it’s older and the hops are fading and bringing the sweetness to the forefront, or if it’s supposed to be like this. It’s good either way. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, with moderate carbonation. Good DIPA, more dark, sweet, and malty than I would expect out of a California DIPA, but very good nonetheless. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber pour with a tan, lasting head. Beautiful piney aroma that nicely complimented the taste. Lots of hoppy pine with a hard sweet/cotton candy like balance. Lots of hop lots of sweet but very balanced. Not particularly dynamic, narrow but well done and enjoyable. High alcohol was nicely hidden. Would I drink again? yes. Would I order again? yes.

Poured from a 22oz bottle, not sure of the bottle date. Poured amber with a slight reddish head, great color and head retention. Aroma wasn’t prevalent, but I have a harder time with that and I’m a little stuffed up, I did get a lot of booze/alcohol in pouring and on the nose. Not as much hop as I would have liked and definitely sweet. Defiantly left a hot taste in my mouth after the sweet subsided. A lot of caramel, a little hot but overall a good beer. I’m not a big fan of imperials but I did enjoy this beer

Bomber poured into shaker pint. Orange amber body with two finger plus head that lasts. Lots of sticky lacing is left on the glass. Aroma is of orange peel, pine resin, sweet malts, and citrus juice. Taste is bitter citrus peel and pine balanced with sweet candied grapefruit and a caramel malt ribbon. Medium-full body, sticky, resinous texture, moderate carbonation, bitter finish.

Bottle received as extra in trade. Thank you heatwaves! Pours clear deep amber with a rather big frothy and bubbly reddish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of spotty and sticky lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is slightly malty, slightly fruity and tiny earthy with dark bread, grapefruit juice, pine needles, freshly cut grass, moist soil, resinous wood, alcohol, biscuits, mango, overripe pineapple, star fruit, brown sugar sweetened black currant tea and caramel. Taste is sweet, bitter, fruity, herbal, earthy and malty with caramel, biscuits, grapefruit juice, oily pine cones, freshly cut grass, resinous wood, grapefruit juice, orange zest, lemon zest, alcohol, pineapple, mango, peach skins, brown sugar, black currant tea and hints of caramelized apples. Mouthfeel is round, slightly sticky sweet, slightly boozy, slightly oily bitter, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, bitter and fruity with caramel, biscuits, grapefruit rinds, orange zest, moist grass, pine needles, resinous wood, mango, star fruit, alcohol, sweetened black currant tea and alcohol. Too sweet for me but fresh and quite good...

Draft pour at American ales in Santa Barbara. Orange with fluffy white head. Cotton candy and cherry jolly rancher taste. Candy. Huge beer but delicious. Smells like a pine tree met a grapefruit. Had this brewers pale ale earlier and hated it. This totally redeemed them

Bottle @ The WWGT2D? Tasting. Thanks, GRG! The pour’s really deep cherry amber with a tight white head. Pretty sweet, ballsy nose. Melon and strawberry. Fruit by the foot. Grass and tropical undergrowth. The taste is hugely sweet. Ribbon candy, caramel. Red berries. Quite sugary and bitter on the finish. Full body, big. Overall, outsized in every way.
