COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Knuckle Sandwich DIPA is an American Style Double IPA. This is a beer that truly lives up to its name! Brewed with copious amounts of North American hops, this Double IPA has a colossal hop profile and an aggressive aroma. Helping round out the floral and citrus notes is a huge malt backbone that provides a great mouth feel to this heavyweight hitter.

Poured a beautiful, clear, amber color from a 22 oz bottle. A medium, frothy head developed and settled to a white film a few minutes later. Light lacing on the glass. The aroma is inviting with pronounced resin, pine, and citrus, but not intense. Taste is very clean, at first lightly sweet, and then the bitter kicks in and grows nicely. Medium body, carbonation thatís just right for the style of beer, and a very pleasent, long finish. Definitely on of the better double IPAís Iíve sampled.

Iíll start off saying this isnít super fresh, so take this with a grain of salt. Nose of sweet, slightly burnt caramel malts, some citrus, pine, and danker hops. Taste follows, with bitter, slightly soapy hop finish. More barley wine at this point than DIPA. Booze is well hidden.

My Bottom Line:
Burnt honey and bitter resins fight it out alongside citrus fruit in this rich and sweetish Double IPA.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the misty pale amber.
-This is not an easy drinker, even for the style. At least, the name makes you expect what you get.
-The wealthy mouthfeel is comfortable.
-This feels like an old-style DIPA; more sugary and with a coarser bitterness.

Bottle.

On tap at the source. Pours a reddish golden. No head. Aroma is pine. Some bubblegum. Alcohol is evident. Smooth clean. Nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep orange clear pour with carbonation coming up through out from bottom of glass. Oily hop and citrus aroma and flavor. Bitter finish.

650ml to cervoise glass. Pours deep orange-red. Plentiful head which dwindles down to a lasting ring of light tan head quickly. Malty with notes of caramel and pale malts. Hops are spicy, floral and lemon/orange zest. Some good peach and mango as well on the finish. You can tell immediately that it is 10.0 abv. Strong beer...good beer...highly drinkable...but look out...it kicks.

Pours gold in color, some decent head. Big hop nose with piny and resny aroma. Hop forward palate with back of lightly kiln malts.

Appearance was clear deep orangish gold with creamy off white diminishing 1 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are malt forward, citrus with a touch of alcohol. Taste are malty, yet sticky pine, grapefruit and orange creep in. The backend is to alcoholic, more like a barleywine. Palate was soft Co2 with slick full body, the malty sticky lasting finish. Overall itís a malty DIPA, only 2 months old. Taste more like a American style Barleywine.

Solid DIPA However not typically my bag of Tea. Beer pours an Amber color with minimal head. Tropical notes but what iím not a fan of is the sweet caramel malt this beer carries. Not a bad beer by any means just not my favorite style of DIPA
