On tap. Pours with a clear golden body with a white head that leaves some solid lace. Aromas are of citrus, pine resin, hops, grassy and very minimal malt. Flavors are all hops, resin, tangerine, pine. Medium bitter that lasts. Grassy dry hop character. Some mild malt. Medium malt character. Lightly warming. Alcohol is not too well hidden.

Taster. Rating #3. Clear dark gold with some amber highlights. Citrus and pineapple aroma. Flavor is very tropical as well. Nice stuff. (2164)

Pours a light amber color with a white head. Smells like a fairly decent IPA, but lacks the usual punch of a Bootlegger’s hoppy beer. Decently fruity with some citrus and citrus peel aromas, definitely a bit of pine, too. A slight bready note to it as well. The flavor has a citric character with some grapefruit flesh and peel notes. A moderate bitterness with some pine and a dry finish.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2012 19 jan 2012, tap at the brewery. Light orange, faintly cloudy, no bubbles. Nose Is light grapefruit rind, alcohol and light pepper. Med body and lightly fizzy. Lemon rind and bitter grass. Some alcohol. Nice.
