A: The pour is a mix of brown and dark amber colors with a huge khaki colored head. S: There is a strange sweet-sour sort of thing going on here, sort of like there’s still a bunch of yeast floating around. Some definite sweetness, almost like just eating some liquid malt extract (maybe from the honey?). T: More of the same on the palate. Plenty of sweetness, some buttered toast, toffee, but a bit of acidity and a definite yeasty character. M: The body is medium with the carbonation being a little on the high side. D: As opposed to the Imperial Phoenix, I think this beer should end in the "pilot" stage. If nothing else, this needs a lot of work.
