COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our German-style Hefeweizen is an unfiltered wheat beer that is handcrafted using only pure imported Hallertau Mittelfrueh noble German hops to give it an original old world taste. With its white creamy long lasting head, golden color, subtle aroma of bananas, and light hop taste, our Hefeweizen has a crisp refreshing taste. The smooth balanced finish makes this a perfect beer for everyday enjoyment!

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of JohnC. Pours a clear pale yellow with a tiny white head. Tart, citrusy nose. Light body, very tart and citric without being really sour. A little yeast. Quite fresh but nowhere near a German Hefe. 231109

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2011 On tap at the brewery. Pours with a hazy orange hued body and a frothy, lasting white head. Aromas of spice, orange, clove phenols, and vanilla. Taste is vanilla, grainy malt, banana esters and chalk. Medium bubbles.

Wow this one is fucked up. Tart lemon and buggy nose. Like a berlinner weiss, but not intentionally. Some clove is hidden. Golden transparent. No head, lots of big visible carbonation. Lemon sour, water, lemon sour again. Underneath the unintentional sour there is light wheat and a hint of clove. Thin, watery, overcarbonated.

On tap at brewery. Pours golden with a medium sized white head. Aroma is pleasantly loaded with clove, mild fruit, and grass. Flavor is clean, texture is slightly wheat-grainy, and overall this is a very satisfying hefeweizen to drink.

Bottle: Pours a hazy golden with a stringy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet malted wheat, some bananas and lots of tart citric lemony notes. Body starts with average fullness and a mild wheaty sweetness with some clove spice and lemon zest along with some doughy Bavarian yeast. Finishes crisp and semi-tart. Could use a little more sweetness and less tartness for my tastes, but still a good attempt at the style.

22oz bottle, 10th rating, making it legal. Hazy, very dark yellow with a white head. Sweet, a little citrus, banana aromas. More banana in the flavor with something a little strange in the aftertaste, can’t quite place it though, pretty decent otherwise.

Cloudy golden color with a nice head. This had a wonderful aroma with a great taste. The wheat malt and hops blended very well. A very tasty brew with a nice dry finish.

Bottle from DTM’s trip. I thought there was a little more to it than the typical hefe, but not much. It had more pronounced honey and lemon flavors, as well as a hint of banana.
