COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palomino Pale Ale is our interpretation of an American style Pale Ale. We brew this beer using only the finest American barley and hops and add even more hops as it ages to give it a great balanced citrusy taste and aroma. This beer is sure to please anyone who enjoys the refreshing taste of American hops.

Draft at the brewery taproom - Fullerton. Pours clear, bright gold with a lasting, white cream head. The nose holds light pine needles, hay, melon and lemon rind. Light-medium sweet flavor with moderate bitterness, some mango, apricot, pine needles. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Balanced finish with some sweet, lightly dried pale malts, more tropical fruits and pine. Good one.

22 oz from Costco Californina. Still cant believe I can buy good beer at costco in california. PA beer laws are so frickin idiotic. PA Politicians suck. Nice mild Orange aroma upon opening. I always enjoy trying PAle ales because it is so much harder to make a pale ale rise above the average than it is to do the same with an IPA. This one makes a decent effort, but is not quite dry enough nor hop-forward enough for my tastes. Decent., but barely rises above average.

Tap at Maggies Pub in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Clear orange with webby white lacing. No carbonation bubbles. Nose is thicker toffee, sugary, stale apple juice. Taste is stale, papery, Oxidized probably. Mealy, dusty, heavy paper finish.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of floral and lightly spicy hops plus some pale and caramel malts. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not a bad pale, but not the best.

Purchased at a tiny liquor store near LAX on a recent business trip. Pours a nice orange copper color in the glass. Immediate aroma of citrus and piney hops. Interesting flavor of a citrus rinds and wood notes followed by a clean dryness on the palate. Overall, a real nice find. I’ll be on the look out for more of this next time I’m in LA.

On tap at the taproom. A clear, golden beer with a small white head. Light peachy aroma with a piney and malty touch. The flavor much the same, with some bitterness added. Medium body, quite dry. Bitter, piney finish. A rather boring one. 130812

Bottle: Orangish straw, deep, a bit hazy, small to moderate foamy white head, spotty lacing.   Very pale hop and pale fruitiness on the nose.   Moderate bitterness, good amount of sweetness, slightly fruity/citrusy, with a dank backside.   Well balanced, but not terribly big.   Smooth, body and mouthfeel are moderate however.   Has a weird dandelion flavor that really shows up on the backside.   At least it reminds me of sweetened Dandelion tea.   I bought some for something a while back, forgot why, but this reminds me of it.   Not bad, certainly different with that Dandelion aspect that I am picking up.   Lingering fruitiness, a bit tropical.
