Clear golden color/ fleeting head. Barnyard funk, cinnamon, flower aromas. medium bodied. Mild band aid flavor with sour strawberry skin, wet wood, tart citrus lemon flavors- it’s funky.

On tap at the brewery. Sometimes brett isn’t very friendly, and sometimes it is not your friend. I can appreciate this, but it is not their best sour. Pours a hazy golden particle filled body with a small white head. Aroma is like a Normandy Cider, funky, super phenolic brett character, bandaid, plastic. Some strawberry jam, a VERY smokey brett character. Taste is sour, smokey, leathery acetic. A funk filled brett phenolic bomb. Some strawberry remains. Lively bubbles, dry mouthfeel.

Appearance: Pours a pinkish amber gold with a pin stripe of bubbles around the top. Aroma: K mart sneakers and strawberry starbursts. Taste: Cleaning chemicals and strawberry. Mouthfeel: Fizzy. Overall: Way 2 Fonkay and pretty much disgusting.

A: The pour is mostly orange with perhaps a few notes of pink to them. A nice white head on top. S: The nose is a bit on the sugary side. I don’t necessarily pick up any sour/wild character to it. There are some sugary, sweet fruit notes--almost candy-like. A bit of a bubblegum aroma as well. T: The characteristics of the nose completely disappear. This one tastes like how I would imagine bandaids taste. The medicinal character is just overwhelming and I was not able to pick up anything else. M: The body is not all that bad--medium with a pleasant carbonation. But the flavor makes you want to get the beer off your tongue. D: This one is just a disaster. An unfortunate experience with the yeast and barrel and fruit here. I’d pass on this one.

I had this on tap at Bootlegger’s Second Anniversary party. Dark pink color, flavor of strawberries that were past their prime along with something medicinal that I couldn’t quite stand. Sorry, it wasn’t good for me.
