3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 5000 (4104) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 24, 2012
Bottle:   Towards the end of this bottle the color is very mocha like, thick, large pillowy sand colored head, nice lacing.   Nice plum aroma, comes out more as it warms.   Soft dank basement, smidgen of mustiness and candi sugar.   Soft figgy notes on the tongue.   I would say plum on the tongue, but its more dark pitted fruit than simple plum, but the aroma... now thats plum.   Spritzy on the tongue, seems well carbonated, and not too heavy or chewy.   Finish is sweet, candyish, with soft notes of dark pitted fruit and plum.   Finish is a little lacking in that its not as fruity as I woudl like, seems to fall off too quickly.   Thanks for the bottle Ron!

Sampled on tap on 6/3/2011 at Bruery Provisions. This fruit beer pours a medium amber orange color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, some yeast and a hint of plums. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet, touch of plums and yeasts. The hops are herbal. Mild carbonation. The plum flavors really show up at the finish. Interesting beer, nice combination of fruit beer and Belgian ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Pours a cloudy yellow orange with aroma of plums and other citrus fruits. A very clean tasting beer. The alcohol content is not noticeable at all. A lighter fruit beer that is very unique tasting due to the plums.

Certainly plum tasting but not a riot. More a casual gathering of plums. Good solid dubbel with a slight fruit taste. Very enjoyable.
