The body of this exhibits the traits of thick, dense pumpkin flesh. Syrupy molasses and mountains of brown sugar attack the tongue. The nose is straight Allspice, with nutmeg and cinnamon permeating nicely. One of the better veggie brews, but nowhere near the menacing brilliance of Kern River’s pumpkin ale. Still, this Bootlegger’s release snorts and stomps with its hard barked flavor.

Cinnamon and allspice aromas along with a ripe vegetal note. Lightly hazy orange/copper with a thin and quickly dissipating white head. The aromas follow right into the flavor with a strong vegetal presence that I like. The cinnamon and nutmeg follow this and roll around the tongue, eventually taking up residence and staying throughout the glass. There’s a little bitterness to counter the sweetness and it’s a good balance (not sure if it’s from hops or the pumpkins). Finishes smooth with lasting spice flavor. Not great, but not bad either. It reminds me of a pumpkin beer I brewed years ago. I think something in the pumpkin kills the carbonation, so it would be better if that was amped up a bit to overcome the flatness.

Bomber shared with Mattyb83, pours hazy amber/orange with a thin off-white head. Aroma is heavy on the spice with pumpkin. Taste is more well-rounded then I expected and the spice is less heavy then anticipated, with a hint of mulling cider spice, and lots of cinnamon. Decent.

Pours vibrant orange with a small white head. Aroma has big amounts of nutmeg, cinnamon, some pumpkin, and a bit of brown sugar. Nice, not overwhelming, and well done. Well, this tastes like watered down cinnamon and pumpkin pie. Just tons of cinnamon here. Not as bad as the apple saison from epic which was epically over done with a cinnamon. Watery, thin body. Pretty much a middle of the road pumpkin.
