Hazy brown color/ light tan head. Nice multi grain bread, nutty, chocolate, caramel aromas. medium bodied with soft carbonation. Decent spicy caramel, multi grain bready malty flavors with brown sugar. mild booze to finish.

A: A slightly murky red-brown color with a fluffy off-white head on top. S: A heavily malty beer, as you might expect. There is a fair bit of toasty malt, which I don’t expect from a quad, there was also a lack of fruitiness. T: Some lightly roasted and toasted malts, a bit of caramel sweetness as well. The fruit quality is more in the way of yeast esters (ie. banana) and a hint of spiciness. None of the usual dark fruits. M: A medium body, perhaps on the full side, with a full carbonation. D: An easy to drink beer, but not really what I think of when I hear Quadrupel.

I had this on tap at Bootlegger’s Second Anniversary party. Very dry on the palate with a strong flavor of cloves, this didn’t seem like a quad
