A classic example of an American Red, Rocco Red Ale has enough caramel malts to stand up to the pungent pine and citrus flavors and aromas from the Chinook, Cascade and Columbus hops. The malty goodness, balanced bitterness and plenty of classic hop character may just have you writing home to mom!

Deep red color with an offwhite head. Aroma of caramel malt, a bit of fruity esthers, light hops. Flavor is caramel malt up front followed by some crackery notes and finishes somewhat bitter.

Nothing too special here except loooong finish. Solid mouthfeel but not hitting me over the head with complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy, golden apricot color with a half finger white head that immediately settles into a thin ring. Minimal spots of lace. Earthy hop aroma with lots of malt sweetness. Hints of caramel, toffee, hazelnut and subtle fruit countered by floral, piney hops. Medium bodied with a blast of dry, bitter hops that linger over the sweeter malt notes into a dry finish.  Much hoppier than the nose suggests with lots of dank pine needle flavor that’s countered by caramel, toffee, nut and light fruit. Finishes dry. A bit thin but easy to drink and flavorful.

Tap at the brewery. Rating #6. Great looking beer, slight haze and it was a beautiful dark red color. Nice aroma, nice bit of hops with a nice light toasty sweetness. Flavor was similar, good bit if hops balanced by a nice maltiness that made it real drinkable, good stuff. (1799)

I had this on tap at The Pint House in Fullerton. It’s an amber colored pour with an off white head. The flavor has a very good balance of hops and malt. Very tasty and drinkable.

Pours a bright yellow with aroma of typical red. Slightly bitter but smooth and drinkable. Smells hoppier than its taste. Overall one of the better beers I’ve sampled from this brewery.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a hazed bronze to red body and a tan head. Aromas are lightly hoppy, lemon, slightly spicy hop, slight diacetyl and some honey. Flavors are bitter with a bit of an abrupt finish. Bready, a touch of butter. Caramel, bitter with a light hop flavor. Lively, dry.
