Barreras (931) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - MAY 30, 2011
Pours a bright yellow with aroma of typical red. Slightly bitter but smooth and drinkable. Smells hoppier than its taste. Overall one of the better beers I’ve sampled from this brewery.

LtDan (1743) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - MAY 4, 2011
Appearance: Pours a clear copper with a white ring of head. Aroma: Juicy hops, sweet earthy malt. Taste: Hop bitterness and toasty malt. Finishes with lingering toast. Mouthfeel: Fizzy, medium bodied. Overall: Well balanced beautiful nose, drinkable beer.

BMan1113VR (7813) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 27, 2011
On tap at the brewery. Pours with a hazed bronze to red body and a tan head. Aromas are lightly hoppy, lemon, slightly spicy hop, slight diacetyl and some honey. Flavors are bitter with a bit of an abrupt finish. Bready, a touch of butter. Caramel, bitter with a light hop flavor. Lively, dry.

This is the first batch of what will become a new production beer of theirs. They didn’t have a catchy name for it yet, so at this point it’s just "Red Ale". A: The pour lives up to the expectations of the style. Amber in color with a finger of khaki colored head. S: Starts off with a nice citrus hop note of grapefruit and tangerine. The hops quickly segue to the malt aromas of toast and bread. A mild toffee aroma and some red fruit flavors. T: A similar story on the palate. Grapefruit and tangerine hops and just a subtle pine bitterness. Toasted bread, toffee, and a slight caramel sweetness. There are some red berry type flavors in there as well. M: Medium in body and carbonation. O: Looking to see what kind of tweaks that will be made to this beer as they continue to brew it.
