On tap at the taproom. It pours a more or less clear pale amber body and a small white head. Lightly spiced, citrusy aroma with some malty notes. Decent bitterness in the mouth. Some malty sweetness, tropical fruits and a hint of rye. Full body, nice carbonation. Lasting finish. A quite nice one. 130812

5000 (6300) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle:   Deep orange, almost burnt, moderate to large foamy tannish head, spotty lacing.   Pale rye on the nose, slight hop, some dried grasses as well.   A bit more pronounced on the tongue, rye, citrus zest, and hops.   Moderate sweetness, balances well.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft pale grainy finish, rye, a little citrusy, along with dried grasses.   Not a show stopper, but not bad either.   Gets more sweet and citrusy as it warms.

Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is of pine and grains (sort of bread-y). Flavor is good: pine, citrus, hops, malt, bread, and coffee. However, didn’t get so much rye. Good overall, worth a try!

Bottle @ home via trade with OCBeerSociety. Thanks! Pours a hazy golden appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy rye, slightly dull bready, mild grapefruity aroma. Somewhat juicy, grapefruity, orange cream sickle, fairly sweet, dull bready, bitter herbal hoppy flavor. Doesn’t taste super fresh but not sure I’d enjoy it much more even if it was fresh.
