A: The pour is rather odd looking for a saison. Looks amber/orange in color with a khaki head. I’ll play along... S: Certainly smells Belgian. Very fruity with a lot of yeast notes. There is a fair amount of spice such as pepper and coriander. I also get some brown sugar and herbal notes. T: The flavor is quite sweet with a definite yeast flavor. Herbal notes such as rosemary with some flowers in there too. I get a bit of light fruit (can’t pick up anything in particular). A decent amount of bready malt is present. M: The body is medium with a moderate to high carbonation. D: Not really like any Saison I’ve ever had, but it was still a decent enough beer.
