Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours lightly hazy yellow-gold with a thick, frothy white head. Dense, dank tropical fruits in the aroma, big mango and papaya, some apricot. Light-medium sweet flavor with loads more juicy tropical fruits, balanced pale malt sugars, ripe fruits. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Great balance on the finish, with more tropical fruit notes, some pissy hops, more mango and apricot. Lovely.

On tap at Beer Baron. It pours very cloudy orange with an off white head. The aroma is sharp and fruity with tons of mango, guava, a little pineapple and maybe a hint of banana? Thick with tropical fruit in any case. The flavor is the same. Guava, mango, grape and peach juice. Tasty, but the body is a bit thin, lackluster and unsupportive of all these big flavors. There’s a mild fruity bitter finish.

[2/18/15] Draught at Bootlegger’s Brewery in Fullerton. Murky yellow. Lovely hoppy aroma of a tropical fruits salad. Sweetish flavor with fruity hops and moderate bitterness. Medium-bodied. Really nice.

On draft at the brewery. Pour is a cloudy medium gold (orangish), with a white head. Tons of tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, guava, grapefruit, some pine, and malty sweetness. Crazy fruit juice pale ale. The flavor is unique and delicious. Try some if you find it on draft!

Tap at the brewpub. Hazy golden yellow pour with a small dense white head. Lots of grapefruit, sweet mango, and orange in this. Juicy and delicious. Not bitter at all, just sweet.

On tap at the taproom. An unclear yellow to orange beer with a small white head. The aroma has citrus peel, cat pee and pine cones. Some malty sweetness in the mouth, dealt with by a good bitterness. Tropical fruits and orange peel too. Medium to full body and a soft carbonation. Lasting finish. Best so far from this brewery. 130813
