(375 ml, 1003-012) Le liquide a une couleur dorée. Le nez présente des caractéristiques propres à l’hydromel. Des fleurs sucrées parfument également l’atmosphère. Les saveurs sont très sucrées par les malts, baignées dans un alcool floral, touchées par des flaveurs boisées et indéniablement mielleuses. En bouche, le liquide est bien rond. La texture est liquoreuse avec une effervescence pratiquement éteinte. La finale se fait sur des notes très douces chauffées par un alcool vigoureux.

Bottle: Poured a dark yellow color liquid with no carbonation. Aroma of sweet grain with alcohol notes very discernible. Taste is heavier on alcohol then I would have expected with some grain notes and loads of honey notes. Body is full with no carbonation. Different and an interesting experience though too much alcohol is discernible. Not something I would have regularly though interesting to taste.

Bouteille 375ml. de couleur ambrée-orange et voilée. Nez d’alcool liquoreux (hydromel, notes de scotch), de miel floral, malté de caramel toffee sucré, léger de vanille et de bois avec des traces de chocolat noir avec des petites notes fruitées (raisins verts aux petites notes vineuses). Ronde en bouche avec un pétillement presque nul et une texture très liquoreuse. Goût d’alcool liquoreux réchauffant et assez sucré (hydromel et léger de scotch, présent en avant-plan durant toute la gorgée) avec un léger goût de vanille ainsi que des notes boisées et fruitées (raisins) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût malté de caramel assez sucré puis en finale l’alcool revient en force avec de faibles notes herbeuses. Post-goût long, composé d’un goût d’alcool liquoreux sucré avec de faibles notes boisées.

Bottle from the brewery,served in a small Acero glass. Honeyish colour, no head,no carbonation. Attractive honey aromas, it smells like a braggot. Both honey and licorice are very sweet, and expected it to be more sweet than it was. There was the element of licorice spice. Not very drinkable, but I agree it goes with food, crackers helped. Odd bitterness, not tremendous for the style.

Bottle - 375ml. Golden body with no head at all. Strong malty/hoppy aroma with honeyish, flowery, and liquorous hints. Well balanced taste carries sweet, fruity notes. Ends with a long, warming finish. Very good, enjoyable dessert drink.

D’une bouteille de 375ml. Beau dorée-ambre. Du miel à souhait au nez. La bouche est un peu mince, un peu de miel, du piquant en fin de bouche. Passablement fort, on goute l’alcool.

A scotch amber ale with no head. A light smokey honey aroma with light scotch alcohol, treacle, quite smooth. In mouth, a light sweet honey and malt, alcohol, nice and sweet. Bottle at Mondial 2010.

Sampled at the Mondial de la bière 2010. Hazy copper, no head, no carbonation. Aroma is honey, alcohol, flowers and wood. Flavor is chocolate, honey, alcohol, port, wood, ganache and sugar.
