In short: A yeasty Saison-ish dirty farmhouse ale. Good beer if you like the style.
How: Tap at Chambly Beer Festival 2011
The look: Cloudy dark-orange body topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose has a nice dusty rustic yeast character along with herbal and fruity notes. Taste is very yeasty, creamy apricots purée, soggy hay, overall barnyard character, herbal hops, garden flowers, chewing on a plant stem. This is far from a clean and crisp beer, but for someone who enjoys a farmhouse ale with a true old-fashion character this is a pleasant beer. This brewery is improving. This is a good old-fashion style beer, and as my grandfather used to say all the time: ”what?” (my grandfather was hard of hearing).

Sample at Chambly fest.
Appearance : Hazy amber with a medium sized head.
Aroma : Great herbal hops with nice saison yeast. Light funk. Some spices too.
Taste : Great yeast with some bananas. Finish is a bit herbal with spices and yeast.
Overall : Quite interesting. Really nice nose with yeast and light funk. Taste also nice but the bananas are a bit weird there. Nice herbal finish. The more I drink the more I get annoyed by the banana notes.

A hazed orange amber with a thin white head. In aroma, a musty and fruity malt with perfumey qualities, curacao, not bad. In mouth, a smooth herbal sweet candy malt, a bit thin and dryish, refreshing summer quaffer. On tap at Bieres et Saveurs, Sept. 2 2011.

Tasted at the Oktoberfest des Québécois 2011, on September 11. Hazy pale orange, small head. Fruity aroma of barley and Herges slightly spicy, hints of yeast. Taste of wheat and barley sweet and fruity, spicy herb not too intense, slightly bitter grains. A good bière de grade slightly complex!

My Bottom Line :
Orangey fruitiness, bready yeast and a spelt-and-buckwheat-like rustic cereal character greet floral shades and agreeable earthiness in this potentially riveting recreation of a southern Wallonian (or Northern French) terroir.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy amber.
-The herbal hop bitterness provides lots of refreshment.
-The cushiony carbonation is fine as is, but if it were amped up in a bottled version, it would make the product even more rural and authentic.
-Its rusticity is not too intense, not too timid. Perfect dosage.
-This is yet another wonderful integration of Quebec barley malt flavors to a yeast and hop bill which are cohesive. Bravo!
-This is very drinkable and never boring. Now, if they could just bottle a batch...

On tap at a couple of festivals.
