COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

On tap at Brouhaha, cloudy amber-gold hue, with a thick white head, fresh, zesty citrusy floral hop nose coming in first, with a nice grainy, wheaty, pale, munich, toasty malt, earthy crunched spelt cereal accent, with some faint honeyed malt breadiness notes in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty bubblegum, pale, toasted, biscuity, caramel, wheaty malt, earthy, grainy cereal spelt wheat, doughy, acidic, citrus peel character with flowery, grassy, leafy hops, reminiscent of tea leaf flavours, with a spicy herbal lavender petal undertone, leading towards a spicy, herbal, acidic zestiness, faint lingering hop bittering finish.

500ml bottle from Peluso.

Appearance : Hazy amber almost orange with rather dense foamy white head. Some lacing.
Aroma : Rich spicy and phenolic brett. Light barnyard notes. Light hops, light yeast. Light spicy grain. The brett really take over. Light humid basement notes.
Taste : Bretty with light citrusy notes. Herbal hops with light malt on finish. Spicy grain with light yeast with more brett. Brett lingers further with spices. Great citrusy tang on the early finish. Fruits seems to pop up more as I drink it.
Palate : Generous and full carbonation. Fairly smooth but could be smoother. Good mouthfeel overall.
Overall : This brewery is really starting to brew some awesome stuff. Great brett beer. Not sure about the saison tag as the saison character is not very apparent IMHO. Great brett nose, nice basement notes. Great finish. Fairly drinkable. Long finish. Great herbal hops. Brett could feel a bit more complex. This is probably one of the best brett beers ever bottled here. Anyone looking for a brett fix should try this. Wow.

Bottle at a small tasting with Max, Paul, and Andy. Pours a hazed amber with a medium sized white head. Big musk on the nose, herbal and a touch of lemongrass. Interesting herbal notes right away. Smooth and musky, nicely balanced. Musk on the finish, yeast and a nice touch of lemon.

Pours a cloudy dark golden with a big frothy white top. Aroma is very farmy, yeast, grain. Taste is a bit funky, cereal, biscuity. Not bad but I need to get used to it.

Cloudy amber with a large beige head. Aroma is spicy, earthy and hops is herbal. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Flavour is acid, sour with fruity notes and a low harshness from hops.

What a surprise! Amber with a big head. Aroma is light caramel, floral notes, berries and Brett?!. Medium body which is lighten by a light sourness. High carbonation, medium bitterness. Exactly my type. Very refreshing yet tasty.

The pour reveals a cloudy amber color with a thick white head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. The aroma is very interesting, there’s biscuity malt, herbal hops and spicy, fruity belgian yeast. There’s also a rustic, farmhouse presence. The flavor is solid, there’s a nice biscuity malt with spicy, fruity, belgian yeast, herbal hops and a rustic, farmhouse terroir. The malt, hops and yeast mesh really well and work in unison. The body is medium to full with a slightly oily texture and lively carbonation. I tasted this beer a short time after the brewery’s opening and it was average. I has come a long way since then, this is an excellent saison and I see myself buying this beer frequentely. Kudos to the brewer!
