May 3, 2012 - with blankboy, garthicus, gregclow, jercraigs & mabel. 750ml green bottle c/o J&M?? Murky deep red with a smallish but lasting frothy beige rocky head. Aroma of cherry, alcohol, floral bitterness. Taste is odd - sweet cherry, almost medicinal, yet sour too - light, not much alcohol presence - wine? where???? Fairly thick body, lightly acidic, mild carbonation with a slightly harsh dry sour finish. Ehh.

Bottle 750 ml. Bought at Peluso (Montreal). Serve in tulip. Well, it’s great to taste a good sour ale from Quebec since we don’t have much of these. Aroma is amazing, but taste does not live up to the expectation. Final is quite disapointing. Hopefully, they will improve a little. Still, very good beer.

Bottle via a trade with tom10101. Epic gusher! Pours with a hazed amber-brown hued body (slightly muddy clarity) with a small (when it settles) tan head. Aromas are of huge malt, floral, red wine. Nice esters, oak and vanillin. Tart, nice brett complexity, leathery and fruity. Flavors are tart, fruity, clay/earthy, plum, red apple, medium wood, floral, acidic with light tangerine qualities. Lots of vinous red wine notes. Lively bubbles, medium dry with a medium body. Good!

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2012 Bottle 750ml. Pours murky brown with low to no head. Aroma is of bretts, fruits, yeast. Taste is of bretts, fruits, spices. Spicy on the tongue. Overall: refreshing, good stuff. [Editing after tasting last batch]: No more "spicy on the tongue". Very good, a sip calling for another one. Good balance. Nice brett action without beeing too much (everyone can enjoy it). Adding a point to taste.

Bottle (750 ml). Cloudy (probably because of the gushing) amber/copper with a medium creamy off-white head. Aroma of brett, sour cherries, malt, caramel. Taste of brett, cherries, malt, wine and wood. Mouthfeel is dry but not quite acidic. It’s not perfect, but it’s a step in the good direction to make a very good flanders red.

[4419-20120504] 750mL bottle. Yeasty toasted grains aroma has a hint of sourbread fruitiness. Hazy, amber brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-tan head. Yeasty sourbread grains flavour has a nice sour aftertaste. Medium body is quite sour. Tasty, nice sour base. (8/3+/7/3/14) 3.5
