Draught. Mondiale 2009 - day 3. Hazy bubbly gold, an average white head. Smells like grain and buttered popcorn. Tasted of grass and clover (no butter). Thick bodied, lively mouthfeel, average length to the finish .... eh - not bad, just sort of boring (and I hate buttered popcorn smells).

My Bottom Line:
Pale cereals and herbal hops form a clean and flavorful flavor profile, leading to an earthy and lightly citrusy bitter aftertaste in this very friendly Blond Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy blond.
-This beer was quite carbonated, which was a relief after quite a few undercarbonated beers there that day.
-This brewer doesn’t brew to reach specific styles, and this blond ale is a good example of this. This is a harmonious mix of local Frontenac malts (which tend to be green in flavor) and herbal, leafy hops.
-The hop bitterness wasn’t intense, but it was lasting.
On tap at the brewpub.
