3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Presentation: 32 oz. growler, served in a BBCo. glass.
Appearance: The color is a very dark brown, almost black. It develops a dark tan, half finger head that quickly goes away. It leaves some spotty lacing throughout.
Smell: Overall it is a very sweet scent with notes of roasted malt, milk chocolate and vanilla.
Taste: There’s a dominant taste of toasted bread complemented by some malt and vanilla flavors.
Mouthfeel: Despite it’s robust appearance, it is refreshing and surprisingly light, a bit watery even. Carbonation is very light.
Overall: BBCo.’s first milk stout attempt is a success. This and interesting and well made beer that is definitely worth a try. Sadly, it has only been brewed once and is not part of their regular lineup.
