Commercial Description:
The golden glow of Boréale Dorée comes from pale malt accented by a touch of roasted barley. Honey is fermented with the malt sugars, not to make the beer sweeter but to add crispness and silkiness to its mellow malt flavour.

Poured golden amber. Aromas of malt yeast and barley. Typical ale flavours, with a slight sweetness to it. Personally I don’t detect any honey flavouring. Overall it’s a nice ale but not a great honey ale.

Clear clover honey yellow with fleeting head that completely dissipates. Honey malt and grain aroma. Taste is similar with not much in the way of hops. Thin. Slight off flavor afteraste.

Bottle from a random depanneur in Montreal. Light golden with a thin white head. Aroma of stale malt and faint honey. (I accidentally typed ’hiney’ there first - Freudian slip, perhaps?) A bit of graham cracker as well. Thin, crisp body. Flavour of a bland, balanced, mainstream golden ale with no real honey character that I can detect. Nothing really wrong with it (aside from a slightly stale seeming aroma), it’s just boring as well, and not something I’m interested in drinking again.

Bottle shared with Milos. Pours hazy yellow with a very foamy and active white foam. The aroma is completely overwhelmed with yeast....like a yeast bomb.....there are other things here....some grass, a bit of malt, banana, but it is really to yeasty. The flavour profile is not nearly as yeasty, but still not what I wanted in this beer. Sweet, kinda funky, fruity, with lots of malt, and very little inthe way of any hops, but the finish is tart and yeasty. Not my cuppa.........beer.
