From tap at a pub in Essen. Easy drinking, a little alt-like taste to it. Not as bitter as all the beers usually on this area.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 kiwianer (475) - Mönchengladbach, GERMANY - MAY 6, 2012

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 crowderm (315) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 23, 2010
On tap at the brewpub in Essen. Reminds me a lot of Hoevels. Medium brown pour with a nice head. Relatively bitter aroma, with some sweet toffee /caramel coming through as well. Flavor is similar. Some nice roasted notes. Also a fruity yogurt-like quality that seems to be typical of this brewery. I enjoyed this one quite a bit.
