From tap at a pub in Essen. Easy drinking, a little alt-like taste to it. Not as bitter as all the beers usually on this area.

Grobporige instabile Schaumkrone, der Körper ist Bernsteinfarbig. Geschmack malzig-süßlich, hopfig leicht fruchtig. Der Nachgeschmack ist etwas hopfiger als der Mittelteil. Fazit: Bei diesem Bier sollte der Geschmack meiner Meinung nach etwas kräftiger sein, sonst Durchschnitt. Test vom 19.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,8,10,9,8,8 - 8,55

On tap at the brewpub in Essen. Reminds me a lot of Hoevels. Medium brown pour with a nice head. Relatively bitter aroma, with some sweet toffee /caramel coming through as well. Flavor is similar. Some nice roasted notes. Also a fruity yogurt-like quality that seems to be typical of this brewery. I enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Clear golden with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and breadish notes. Flavour was sweet and had roasted malt, toffee, caramel and coffee notes. Finished sweet.

Bottled. An amber beer with alazing off-white head head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with notyes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter strawy finish. Thanks KimJohansen for sharing.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours clear and golden orange with a small and off-white head. Aroma is mild breadish and slight grassy. Mild breadish and light roasted with a hint of caramel. Subdued bitter and caramelish breadish finish.

Alc. 4.9%. Clear medium amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white - grey head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, dusty, sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090221]

Light amber with a small white head. Aroma dominated by DMS with just hints of caramel and hops. Sweet malty flavour with some hop notes and bitterness.

Bottle, 4.9%. Weak roasted aroma, slightly vinous. Clear brown colour. Small tan head. The flavour has some spicy hoppiness. Low bitterness, slightly vinous and bready. Mild flavour, but OK.

Bottle, thanks MoritzF. Amber, big bubbles, off-white layer. Metallic roast aromanote. Roasted edges prevail - light nutty and caramelly, marzipan notes on top. Lightbodied. Fresh.
