750ml bottle. 5.5%. Clear deep yellow gold colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of apple, apple skin, vanilla, slight barnyard. Taste is fresh apple, apple skin, vanilla, butterscotch, white wine, sourish with dry tannins. Spritzy mouthfeel, light bodied, well carbonated, very dry tart tannic peppery finish. Nicely drinkable.

deep golden colour. aroma is lots of apples, applesauce, bit of old cheese. taste is lots of apples, some wood notes and slight apple acidity for a perfect balance. dense and slick oily mouthfeel, rather soft carbonation. impressive for the low abv, the bottle read 3,5%. bottle 75cl / thanks a lot rood!

This is the best cider iíve tasted ever. The aroma is hay, sweet candy apple. The taste is apple, jasmine, flowery notes, sugar, and woody notes. The beauty of this cider lies in his balance. It is marvellous how this cider goes from apple to woody notes. It is one of the best things Iíve tasted in my life. The beauty of balance. Bordelet for King!

75cl bottle from Pukka Wines, Shrewsbury. Bottle says 5.5%. Comes in a proper fancy bottle with a nice cork too (which went to the dog as always). Expected a fizzy affair and got it, but a bit too light, clean and fizzy for my tastes. The rosy, juicy fruitiness is there and gives an elegant lift to the glass but itís much too subtle for me. Personally I prefer my cider a little rougher round the edges.

This along with the poire granite is one of the best ciders I have ever tasted, this is made with minimal intervention completely natural, A true expression of an apple/pear cold, crunchy & refreshing, My advice is to serve in a small wine glass or Champagne flute with no ice, The ice will make it seem too watery so keep it well chilled in the freezer

Bottle. Dry nose, apple, minerals, sulfur. Dark golden, slight lace and low carbonation. Lovely dry apples, minerals, slightly funky. Just a bit of sweetness underneath to make it pleasant. Great on a hot summer day. Very dry, somewhat raw finish. Good. Not as unapproachable as some raters have made it seem, tho definitely puckingly- ass dry. † † † †

750 mL bottle from Astor Wines & Spirits in New York, served in a lager glass. Pours clear golden with a small white head and champagne carbonation. The head fades to a thin cover but then mostly remains and leaves a small amount of fine lace. The nose has big aromas of ripe apple with a woody accent. The flavour is dryish apple with an acidic bite and a finish that is moderate in length and slightly astringent with a bitter touch of apple peel. On the palate, it is light in body with a dry texture and fizzy carbonation. Overall, a decent cider but not terribly inspiring. 2011-05-14
