henrikb (1161), Aarhus, Denmark Oct 12, 2008 Beautiful dark golden body with lots of sparkle, white head; Very pleasant nose with a very balanced mixed of yeast and sweet apple aromas; Sweet with a very pleasant tart/tannin touch, soft carbonation; Long sweet finish very dry tannin to balance everything, tons of aroma, again both sweet apple and yeast. Great! omhper (10900), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 26, 2008 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Spritzy golden. Sweet and fruity with leather and soap. Light-medium bodied, gently sparkling wth a ssweet apple jam flavour offset by tarter appleskins. RCL (1112), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Sep 3, 2008 From a bottle marked "Sidre Doux". Pours a clear amber. Lightly sparkling. Nice sweetness, with sweet apple aroma and flavors. Some apple skin tannins in the aroma that reappear subtly in the finish. Light notes of sweet puff pastry dough. Very nice. DMRz (149), Durham, North Carolina, USA Sep 3, 2008 Luminous golden color with only a trace of a pure white head. Very sweet, slightly earthy aroma with an explosion of honeycrisp apples. Flavor is sweet ripe apples, pear, and again some earthy funk that reminds me that this is a French cider. The sweetness is not cloying, and the carbonation leaves the palate refreshed. Quite nice! Rhapsudsy (6), Minnesota, USA does not count Aug 27, 2008 This is unlike any other cider I’ve had. It’s not quite as funky as the Brut and much sweeter. The Doux is dessert like- massive notes of vanilla combine with the apples for flavors that remind me of a fruit parfait, particularly peaches. Throw in the funk and you’ve got one heck of a complex cider!
