COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle 750ml. Pours golden with very low white head. No lacing. Aroma is of apples, fruits, grapes. Taste is of apples, tannins, grapes. Palate: Medium carbonation. Medium body. Overall: Lots of complexity in the apple selection.

bottle shared by mathieuc, thanks buddy! pours unclear bright gold, amber tint, with a bubbly reviving white cap. sweet caramelized apples, akin to many ice ciders - which is rare if not fortunately odd for a 4.5% cider; cotton-candy, dust, red apple meat, floral honey, yeast. prickly to average carbonation, light body; very lightly astringent, sweetish and woodsy-chalky-apple finish. nice.

Pours a clear golden with some nice bubble streams that produce a white foamy ring on top. Nose is of apples and lightly sweet. Taste is on the contrary lightly tart and loaded with fresh apples. Slight carbonic bite. Body is medium, carbonation high and the 30 g/L sugar is surprisingly not felt that much. Must be the refreshing acidity. Anyway, good but not great.

Bottle (750 ml). Shared by mathieuc, thanks! Split 5-ways.

Appearance: Clear bright golden with a small bubbly ring of white foam and little to no lacing.

Aroma: Caramelized apples, sugary notes, pears, a bit of crème brûlée and light rubber presence.

Taste: Moderately sweet (less than what expected considering the sugary notes) and slightly acidic. Caramelized apples, caramel and CO².

Palate: Medium body. Medium to lively carbonation. Moderately dry finish.

Overall: Decent / good sparkling cider. The CO² taste is a bit too much present for my liking but otherwise it’s a fine drink.

Bottle shared. Clear deep gold pour with thin ring of white foam. Aroma is good, nice caramel candied apple. Taste is sweet, a bit old apple, musty. Palate is med bodied, quite sweet, light carb. Good, but a bit sweet.

750ml bottle, 2012 vintage. 6%. Clear golden colour, white foam head and aroma of juicy apple, caramel, light barnyard. Flavour is sweetish fruity apple, caramel, honey, woody oak, vanilla, tangy with dry tannins, earthy and light barnyard notes. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, fine spritzy carbonation, drying tannic finish. Nicely balanced and very drinkable.

Moins complexe que le poiré mais plus opulent c’est un cidre de “4 heures” à boire avec un cake aux pommes, d’ici 1-2 ans.

Thanks to Kraddel! 75 cl. bottle split with Kraddel during the (Ice) Cider/Perry tasting @ Barely Legal Tasting Room. 2012 Vintage. Gorgeous looking bottle. Clear sparkling Champagne-like golden, thin white layer of bubbles only on top for head. Bubbles rising. Nose is sweeter than expected, apple sweetness, golden apples, faint rustic note, hay mixed in with tad of something reminiscent of sulphur for me. Taste is dry, tad boozy, surprisingly so for the ABV, light hay, barn, less sweet in taste than in nose, finish again sulphur-like note for me. Body is Cava-like in feel. Quite dry, pretty nice & enjoyable but doesn’t really justify the price-tag I feel, expected a bit more from this one. Nice all the same still.
