With its notes of citrus and spices, Boréale Blanche is a velvety, easy-drinking ale of wheat, oats and malted barley. We bottle it unfiltered to preserve its natural cloudy appearance. Bring the lees into suspension by turning the bottle gently upside down before serving. Composition: An all-natural ale brewed from superior ingredients: water, wheat, malted barley, oats, hops, yeast, zest of orange, coriander and other spices. Blanche contains no colouring agents or preservatives.

Pours a nice body, yellow & hazy. Very thick and insistant head. Smell of spices and lemon. Taste is light with floral overtones, lemon without the tartness and a spice that i can’t put my finger on. Overall, not very impressed. Not sure why but i think this one isn’t for me, something about the taste. Won’t try again.

Bottle from mix pack bought at local iga grocery A: cardamom, coriander, ginger, citrusy, other spices, wheat app: hazy pale small white head t/p: med body with short bitter finish. Moderate high carbonation. O: a different with witbier packed with spices cardamom is dominant. I’m not a fan of this spice. It’s original. I’m more a fan of the classical approach.

Obvious aroma of coriander spice, more subtle citrus background. Slight haze but transparent. Zesty and peppery, unexpected sweetness as well. Could use more carbonation, I’d like these to kick body wise. Better than expected all around though.

Appearance: hazy straw with a short frothy white head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim, no lacing. (3/5) Aroma: citrus zest, ginger, coriander, wheat, bready yeast. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter, moderate peppery spice. (6/10) Palate: light body, lively to moderate carbonation, zesty peppery finish. (3/5) I don’t think I’ve ever had a witbier quite like this before - it’s distinctly gingery in addition to the normal coriander, giving it a not-unwelcome peppery bite. Decently light and crisp, but the spices don’t feel integrated all that well. Good, but not great. (12/20)

Appearance is somewhat cloudy, hazy, not much head but just a fine layer. Lots of carbonation. Aromas of fruits and wheats. Flavours of citrus fruits and ginger is obvious. Has a pretty nice aftertaste, and a tangy mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Clear pale yellow with minimal fastly disappearing white head. Nice spicy aroma (coriander). Taste rich of strong coriander and orange notes, some bitterness in background.

On tap at the fish and chips place down the street from our hotel Montreal. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Herbal and almost minty on the nose, and very full of coriander. Medium bodied, lightly sweet with some more herbal notes, light wheat. Herbal on the finish, crisp and musky, loads of coriander. Much better than expected.

Pale white pour - quite hazy with a bit of thin white head. The aroma is loaded with coriander and orange/lemon. There’s a bit of zesty character and some soft wheatiness. A touch of pepper and some lingering fruit. Pretty standard fare.
