COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its notes of citrus and spices, Boréale Blanche is a velvety, easy-drinking ale of wheat, oats and malted barley. We bottle it unfiltered to preserve its natural cloudy appearance. Bring the lees into suspension by turning the bottle gently upside down before serving. Composition: An all-natural ale brewed from superior ingredients: water, wheat, malted barley, oats, hops, yeast, zest of orange, coriander and other spices. Blanche contains no colouring agents or preservatives.

341ml bottle poured into a pint glass. Poured light yellow (it has just barely a hint of green to it...) with some haziness and a 1" head. As it went down there was a bit a lacing left. I’ve seen better looking wheat beers. Aroma was a bit mild but it was a cross between fresh white bread and lemon poppy seed muffins. Light wheat flavour, some citrus and some spiciness. The elements are there but I found it all a bit weak. I also think it lacks some sweetness. Feels average. It’s just a bit too light and dry for a wheat beer. It’s not offensive and it is drinkable but everything about it says "light beer".

On tap. Pours hazy blond/white, with ok white head, staying for a while. Good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, spices. Taste is spices, citrus. A little bit thin, but tasty enough not to be watery. Passable beer.

Draught at J’m la Frite, Montréal, QC.
Cloudy yellow colour with tiny white head. Chemical and esthers in aroma. Maybe some fruitiness too. Wheat? Yeast? Artificial and chemical fruity flavour. Very non natural Witbier.

341ml bottle. More flavourful than the Boréale Blonde, this was probably the second best of the Boréale variety pack.

pours a cloudy pale yellow with a decent white head. wheat, sweet malts, with a complex spicy profile - maybe some cardamom. light herbal hops, light to medium body, aggressive carbonation. a tad too sweet but decent white for a macro.

Thin head on top and a clear yellow-gold body like a bad lager. Aroma is lemon flavoured cleaning detergent, but not quite - in fact perhaps more like your sister’s bathroom if she has been using lemon hair products, or lemon Pledge..... you get the idea. Flavour is perfumy hops with a lemon finish, and enough carbonation for it to evaporate on your tongue. Very light that way; and when taken in a certain light it wouldn’t be so bad, but most of the time, sadly, it would be.
