COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boréale Blonde is made from a pale malt of premium, two-row barley that gives it a luminous colour and velvety flavour. Selected hops add a crisp and refreshing bitter harmony to the mellow notes.

bought in Napierville, smuggled across the border and consumed at a rageing party in Gloucester. Malt balanced, a definative woody yeast taste. Just like Under-age said about Madhatter, this also goes well with FPCs.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2005 Hints of toasted biscuity malts and bitter hops in a blond ale…A well-built eyebrow twitcher, but only for half a glass or so…

What a nice surprise from Quebec! It’s not the best beer I’ve ever had but these guys at Brasseurs du Nord are going the right direction. Blonde is nicely bitter and aromatic. Quite short hop-bitter finish though. A must try when you come to Quebec.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2004 Sept 2001 (my Ratebeer infancy): Not a great beer, but a good alternative from our Northern neighbors to, say SNPA. Very smooth, nice lemony nose and crisp zesty flavor; sure it could have more character, but its good for what it is, a Summer afternoon with a light lunch sort of thing.

February 2004: have wanted to retry this for a while; sentimental as it was my first beer in Montreal. Light amber, little head. Strong caramel nose, hints of lemon. Surprising amount of hops for such a beer, but simple and undistinguished flavor keeps it from being really good. Nice body, above average blond I guess -- certainly not a 3.9, my initial rating.

Not bad, but not great.
