341 ml bottle left by brother-in-law when visiting A: red fruits, dark caramel, licorice, spicy app: reddish brown no head . t/p: med body with average long sweet finish. Moderate carbonation. O: OK. Not super festive but less boring than the usual Boreale offering.

Pours a medium brown with a thin and fizzy head that disappears almost as fast as it appeared and leave zero lacing. Nose is of caramel, toffee and cloves, christmas-y. Some licorice, too. Taste is moderately sweet, offers more caramel, fruits and salted toffee. Alcohol is hidden pretty good but it’s not like it is 12+% ABV, yo. Body is pretty much full, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel oily and lightly creamy even. Overall a good one.

Pour is reddish brown with a finger of tan cap. Nose is prunes, liquorice, and what smells kind of like vanilla coke, along with some Christmas/mincemeat spices. Label says 6.9% alcohol, and it hides it well. Good stuff, for a once-a-year-beer.

Taste is of lots of fruits (dark), heaps of sugar, caramel, candies. Palate: Full bodied. Low-medium carbonation. Sticky mouthfeel. Overall: Very sweet. Somewhat cloying.
