341ml bottle. Honey colour. Taste of grains and honey. It’s not brilliant, but enjoyable.

Bière à la couleur de... Miel...

Soft aroma of sweetened malts. Excellent smooth head and golden body. Lots of honey and just a bit of malt. Okay mouthfeel. Very simple mix of flavours but very drinkable.

Living in Quebec, Boréale is the 12-pack I go to for an always-in-fridge beer and I always get their tester-pack. Dorée is one of four of their brews in the pack. I would have to say that it is my lease favorite one in the pack, but still a great beer nonetheless. Pours a clean golden-copper colour with a big creamy white head. This one is long lasting, even coating the brew as you drink it. Decent lacing is also present and nice slow carbonation of tiny bubbles. Sweet aromas of honey (one of the ingredients) and grain malt. The mouthfeel is smooth and the finish is semi-crisp. The honey is also in the taste and the grain in the aftertaste. Still, this is not too sweet, so a very well-balanced honey ale that refreshes.

Bouteille 341 ml. 4.8%. Couleur ambrée pâle. Arômes de malt et de sucré en raison du miel probablement. Goût assez léger, douce, notes de miel, malt. Finale un peu sucrée. Elle se boit tout seule.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 SlovakSniper (2096) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 19, 2010

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 duffbeerfan (10) - USA - APR 6, 2010
Decent Ale for a canadian mainstream microbrewery. Good refreshment though, but the flavour and the nose not impressive at all. If you have friends who drink beer once in a while, this one is a good compromise.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Spab (1639) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 12, 2010
341 ml bottle. Pours a clear orange gold with small white head. Nose of bread and honey. Taste of weak grains and some honey. Medium body. Pretty boring.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Papillon (323) - Sudbury, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 30, 2009
341 mL Bottle. Gold body with a foamy white head that settles to a ring with some clinging and lacing. Aroma of cereals, grains, hops, earth, soda cracker, a floral note, and a faint basement smell. Bread-crust flavor, earthy crisp biscuit aftertaste (hops), and light sweet malt lingers along with an accent of honey in the finish. Simple but good. Session beer.
