COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The golden glow of Boréale Dorée comes from pale malt accented by a touch of roasted barley. Honey is fermented with the malt sugars, not to make the beer sweeter but to add crispness and silkiness to its mellow malt flavour.

This is a typical american standard-type (just in ale form). Do not attempt to drink this beer. Simply put it down and slowly back away. No honey whatsoever.

Bottle from my brother, merci Alex! Pours a clear gold colour with a bunch of white foamy head that dissipates quickly. Smell is a bunch of caramel, and some weird funk. Palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied with barely any carbonation, clearly meant for mass consumption. Taste is quite sweet then just trails off on that note. Really boring beer, but better than most mainstream golden ales.

Golden colour with an aroma of malt and mild honey. Taste was honey and malt. Not a terrible beer.

Nice golden colour, almost no head. Roasted cereals and straw aroma. Not much carbonation, this beer is built on honey sweetness and roastiness. No aftertaste, no bitterness. Unidimensional.

Golden amber in colour, lingering white coloured head, good lacing. The aroma is grassy, grainy, some cereal and toasted malts. The flavour is moderatly sweet, lots of cereal and grains, some grassy and herbal hop balance. Moderatly bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet, lingering. This is pretty mainstream tasting, the high carbonation distracts you from whatever little flavour this has.

Draught at Pizzadelic in Montreal, Quebec on December 27, 2006.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2003 Golden brew with a tiny very white head. Bouquet of honey. Taste of malt before anything, herbs, honey shows up towards the end and flees too fast. A little metallic like many from this brewery.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2004 Pale golden colour with a cloudy white head that fades back to lace. Honey in the nose is quite prominent. Some fruitiness comes out in the aroma. Flavour is fairly yeasty, with pale malt and some honey dryness. A metallic bite on the finish spoils what would have been a fairly standard brew anyway. Thanks Tiggmtl

Golden color, thin, white head. Aroma of malt and honey. Unpleasant flavor of malt and honey. Slightly bitter finish. Light to medium body, soft carbonation, chalky finish. Bland, ordinary, unpleasant even, definitely not recommended.

Bouteille. Effervescence moyenne. Inintéressant.
