Bottle from Vinbud in Reykjavik. Pours dark brown with a thick, firm caramel tan head which fades quickly and leaves a small amount of lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate and some coffee and wood. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitterness and lively carbonation which ends in a long finish.

Draft at Laundromat Cafe, Reykjavik. Very drak brown body with mahogany highlights. Rich aroma of dark malts and a touch of smoke. Hard roast and chocolate liqueur flavours, light ash. Very rich and full-bodied for the ABV. Excellent.

En botella 33 cl. Islandesa.

Bottle at Ölstofa in Reykjavik. A lot of chocolate malt with some roast and black patent char / inkiness. Smooth carbonation with creamy, milky, soft malt. Dark chocolate syrup character, medium to low sweetness, decadent and savory, well balanced, lacks flaws. One of the few Icelandic beers I would drink regularly.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (chocolate, roasted grain), with notes of vanilla and charcoal. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. A very solid, no-frills stout/porter. Roasty, chocolatey, well-balanced.

Brown black colour, beige head. Aroma of red fruits, coffee, pear, sweet caramel, quite fruity. Coffee flavour, malts, roasted malts, caramel and cacao. Hefty carbonation. Finish coffee, roasted malts, lingering sweet notes. Nice, but not the best beer I’ve had from Borg.
(From 33cL bottle shared @ weekly tasting, Benzai’s place. From trade with haukur, thanks!)

Bottle @ Benzai thx to Martinus. Black colour with a medium sized beige head. Smells wood, porto wine, red fruits, pear and sweet. Tastes coffee, roasty, chocolate, sweet and again some pear. I don’t like pear. Medium body, medium carbo.

Bottle shared by Martinus @ weekly tasting. Black color, medium sized beige to light brown head. Smell malts, something weird that reminds me of wood. Taste malts, pear, slightly roasty, moderately bitter. Quite nice.
