12oz bottle pours a murky black with some tight tan head. Nose has malt, coffee bean, molasses, caramel, toast. Flavor has malt and toast, mild coffee and licorice, molasses, some chocolate. Dry finish. Very drinkable.

My Bottom Line:
This coffee-infused Porter is bothered by roasted pepper allusions, as earth and vanilla are surprised by an acidic nudge in the back.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy dark brown.
-This is not one-dimensional, which I appreciate.
-I just cannot fall in love with a Coffee Porter/Stout that exhibits any semblance of roasted peppers.
-The acidity in the finish doesn’t belong there.

Beige vanishing top, black body with brown edge. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, sourish juicy hops. Taste of coffee, hops, black chocolate, dark resiny fruits - leading to a semi dry coffee’ish finish. Normal on palate, soft carbonation. [33cl.btl.6%abv,BB061016]

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Dark brown body with ruby highlights and a faint beige head that quickly fades. No lacing. Aroma of ash, coffee and burnt toast. Flavour of blueberry, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. Simple and well balanced but quite thin.
