33cl bottle at Glymur Hotel, Hvalfjörđur, Iceland. A deep mahogany coulr with a cream head; aroma of coffee grounds; and a velvety smooth body with a burnt caramel taste; and a lingering sugary finish. A rather good porter.

Bottle at WilliamK. Black color, beige head. Bitter taste with espresso, nuts, roasted malts, licorice, a bit of wood and vanilla. Bitter finish with espresso, nuts, roasted malts, licorice and wood. Very nice porter.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 061016, at Kaisla, 20151120) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate and ash. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, liquorice, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A rather burnt brew.

Craft Brixton. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, crisp and semi dry. Modest dark malts, trace of cream. Not much else going on here. Crisp finish. Clean but very plain porter.

Cask at the craft beer co Brixton. Aroma is toasted brown bread, tart dried fruit, nutty. Opaque chestnut brown coloured pour with a fleeting tan head. Flavour is composed of nutty. Brown sugar, little spicy wood, cinnamon. Twig. Palate is semi sweet, highish carbonation, some cold coffee.

Keg at CBC Brixton - London. Pours deep brown with a creamy beige head. The nose holds milk chocolate, roast, milky coffee. Medium sweet flavor, faint tangy dark malts, cocoa, roast, raisins. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A little bit of tangy dark fruits in the finish, mellow chocolate, bitter earth. So so overall.
