Úlfur er kraftmikiđ ljósöl, ríkt af ást og beiskju. Mettađ af amerískum humlum og íslensku hugviti. Grrr!

English: Úlfur (wolf) is a powerfull clear ale, rich of love and bitterness. Saturated with american hops and icelandic innovation. Grrr!

An impressive first Icelandic IPA. Really hoppy, with a nice fruity aroma. Lacks a little in fullness, and the tast dosnt last long, although the hoppy flavour builds up over time

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2014 Good attempt at a west coast ipa but top notch IPAs are a dime a dozen in California. But when in Iceland not really access to that stuff so it’ll do until then. Bitter, with some grapefruit hops and rind. Not bursting with flavor and no sugar or candy. Medium body.

Bottle, at Laundromat Cafe, and a couple other spots along the journey. Medium orange body, off white head. Fresh hoppy aroma, mango skin and conifer. Hoppy palate, grapefruit, light pine, with underlying light caramel malts. Long bitter finish. Solid, tasty. I’m liking Borg beers consistently.

Bottle. Pours caramel in color with thin white head that dissipates. Hoppy evergreen aroma over mild carbonation. Decent hop and resin flavors with reasonable complexity. Easily the best non-American ipa I've ever had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml Bottle (Bunk Bar, Reykjavik) - Amber with a foamy head. Grapefruit, peach, apricot and gooseberries in the aroma. Hoppy and bitter yet nicely balanced taste with gooseberries, grapefruit and peach standing out.

Em botella. Color amarillo dorado y limpio. Cabeza de espuma blanca y poco duradera En nariz ofrece frutas tropicales, lupulo, mango. Em boca se acentúa el lúpulo, pero el toque tropical sigue ahí. Final refrescante y lupulizado. Muy redonda. Cuerpo medio, muy bebible. Ipa de manual.

Bottle at KEF airport (BB Apr 2014). Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is dark yellow to light amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin, apricot), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. American styled all the way, but still offers some cookie-ish malt and a little apricot tropical-ness, so it’s ok.

A clear gold American-hopped Pale Ale with pine / resin notes and strong tropical fruit gum. Lively and fresh smelling, grassy, resinous and "green", this would go over well in the United States. Medium-light body, light sweetness, high bitterness, some nuttiness and sour grain character becomes more apparent in the bitter-sweet onion and garlic hop acid finish, where a coating of Zebra Stripe gum hop oil and laundry soap remain. From bottle best by date April 2014 from Vinmonopolet in Reykjavik.
