4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Inviting unclear golden pour with a fine thick white head. Nice lacing. Powerful nice aroma with the usual stuff. Pine, tropical fruity and grapefruit hoppy. Yummi. Nice medium to full body with a smooth carbonation. Very balanced sweetness versus bitterness. Balanced powerful flavor with pine, grapefruit hoppy and tropical fruits. Lovely ale for hop heads. No disturbing alcohol either in aroma or flavor! Dangerously easy drinkable.

Bottle. Pours weak hazed golden with a huge frothy off-white head. Distinct resiny and piney hops in the aroma. Taste is moderate bitter & dry, resiny oily hops, very crisp and moreish DIPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl bottle@Hilton Hotel Bar, Reykiavik@approx 6 degrees C. Pours hazy golden with medium white head. Charming aroma of American hops - pine and citrus galore with a little vanilla thrown in. Heavily hopped flavour which fills your mouth completely, but well balanced by enough malt to keep it from being just a hop-bomb. Very nice, rich creamy texture supplements the well balanced tastes and makes this surprisingly easy to drink despite its 9% ABV, though that alcohol can also be detected. Definitely a very good APA or if you prefer: IIPA and the best Icelandic beer I have had so far.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Laundromat Cafe, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Nose brings out rich piney and resinous hops, and a dry biscuity malt. Flavour is robust, with loads of piney and resinous hops that blast through, backed by just enough biscuity malt to back. This is a great IIPA - American calibre. Excellent stuff.

[Bottle (330ml) shared with and courtesy of jercraigs & mabel] Pours a hazy gold with average size white head and lots of lacing on the glass. Aroma and flavour are nice, citrusy and hoppy along with biscuity malt. Decent bitter finish. Medium bodied. A pretty good DIPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2014-08-08. Crisp dark orange body nice moderate white head. 3+ Aroma is odd, with green leafy vegetation over muted muddled orange citrus and something else I can’t define. 6+ Flavour is moderately bitter throughout, resin, sort of oily green leafy hops. Average plus bodied palate, modest carbonation. Decent but the hop profile doesn’t work for me. Not sure if it is a bit off or just not for me. Bottle dated BB3000914 via trade with Duffman

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, actually probably my third or fourth at this point, and this one was graciously given by haukur-- thanks! Medium orange hue with an average white head that retains nicely. Malts are more bready/biscuity than caramel, hops lean toward grapefruit and pine, but there is an earthiness or tea-like character too. The balance here is very nice, so if you are looking for a hop-bomb then this will probably disappoint. I think it is a well crafted IIPA with a nice balance of flavours. Solid.
