Powertrip (69), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Oct 16, 2007 A touch of orange in the appearence, with a bright, citrus and apple nose. Fresh but bitter on entrance - increasing as it fills the mouth. If not for the cream, hint of vanilla and the crispness, the bitterness would spoil. The bitterness does fade somewhat on the finish as well.
Skidds (186), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 7, 2008 This one is rated a little lower than I would have expected. It’s nothing great, but it was a fairly clean tasting lager. Went down smooth. 1664 is a lot better though. Raphael__N (162), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jun 2, 2008 500ml can sampled from a friend. This err... wasn’t good. It wasn’t horrible either. There isn’t really much to say about it. Take your average lager and shift the flavour around a bit. No hops present on the tongue, not sweet either. Just plain and boring. But not disgusting either. Take it as you will. robinvboyer (1048), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Apr 30, 2008 skunk skunk and more skunk! when will they learn, no green bottles!! You can tell there is some flavour in there, some mild, hops, and maybe soem decent malt, but whoa! skunk! Geth_in_beer (677), Nova Scotia, Canada Feb 5, 2008 Bottle. Crisp, fresh aroma with hints of citrus. Golden in colour with a thin to non existent head. Fresh flavour, a little fruity but thin and weak. Not for me. Typical French beer. JesseM (406), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Dec 1, 2007 Well, there’s definitely some actual hops in there, and it’s slightly deeper in colour than a lot of other low-end lagers, but still, it had sort of a dirty dish-rag flavour to it. Weird floaties are quite evident as well. Made me slightly sick, but mostly from the carbonation. I guess it’s just one of lousiest pilsners available, so don’t expect much.
