3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 puboflyons (1111) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 9, 2010
From the 330 ml. bottle marked 11HH-15:42. Served at room temperature but by doing so the exploding frothy head boiled up out of the bottle and onto the table. At least I got it into the glass fairly quickly. It was a cloudy amber with about 4 inches or more of bubbly, silky off-white head akin to a milk shake that eventually simmered down to a thin, more calm head. There was wheat in the aroma and spices but it was all to subtle. The taste had a kind of bitterness with a yeasty aftertaste. While I found it to be relatively drinkable, it did not overwhelm me.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Dfonorow (555) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAY 9, 2010
Pours dark brown with slight hints of blue and red, large head that quickly fades into a small ring. Aroma of light hops with strong a fruit presence. Taste is milder that I thought it would be from the aroma, and includes a strong hoppy overtone with mild fruit undertones. Slight alcohol warmth at the end.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 fidelis83 (1261) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - MAY 9, 2010
Pours medium reddish brown with a tall, oily beige head that fades to a chunky thick skim after a few minutes and holds leaving nice lacing. Aroma is tangy dark fruit, light roast, toast, spice and sharp doughy yeast. Flavor is earthy spice, light roast, caramel, toast, limestone, herbal hops, metallic notes and doughy yeast. Palate is pretty light bodied, dry throughout and has a strong and sharp carbonation. Not terrible, but not very good for a dubbel, comes off dry, metallic and thin without the malt depth of your average dubbel. Fairly attractive brew though.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Rando7 (448) - Iowa, USA - APR 29, 2010
Bottle pour to Trappist glass gives dark brown fairly clear color with huge thin beige head that lasts forever. Aroma faint with yeast and fruit. Taste is fairly average with a smooth but non-descript flavor. Alcohol well-disguised and finish is very mildly bitter. I guess if you’re looking for a session dubbel this it. Great looking beer but uninteresting taste.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 dcschiller (1457) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 10, 2010
(33o ml bottle). Pours a deep brown with a chunky tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel and alcohol. Sweet beginning but a slight sourness and light bitterness at the end. The roasted malts also come out as well with an almost smoky flavor. I sometimes get the flavor of a chocolate tootsie pop.
