Aug 21, 2009 On tap at The Edge Bar in Pittsburgh PA - Poured a dark amber brown in a Trappist glass, thin tan head. Nice feel on the pallet, rich and malty with some added hop bitterness. A bit of a roasted quality, rather mild and enjoyable.

Aug 20, 2009 Pours a redish-brown with a tan lacing head. Aroma has fruits, some raisan and some nice apples. Flavour is full and rich with lots of fruit blended with malt and maybe a touch or bread. Nice malty caramel finish. Nothing overly special but I would drink another one.

Aug 16, 2009 [2328-20090723] 330mL bottle. Sweet fresh malt aroma has light citrus juice notes. Slightly hazy, dark brown amber body with a medium foamy off-white head. Mild scrambled eggs flavour is mostly sweet malty water. Medium body. Interesting to try, average.

Aug 13, 2009 Abbey dubbel is one of my favorite styles, and this one honestly wasn’t too bad. I got this in a mix-6 of Belgian beers and enjoyed it very much!

Jul 21, 2009 An impressive start, with a very nice nose, but the flavor is not so impressive, with an overly fizzy head and thin, short lived mouthfeel. Not bad, by any stretch, but not among the greats of the style.

Jul 20, 2009 Nice dark color on the pour accompanied by a nice white head. Aroma was weak with slight hints of spice and dark fruits. Taste is malty with traces of cherry and caramel. For only 8% ABV you sure can taste the alcohol. Not a bad dubbel but thier are a lot of better ones.
