Pours a dark brown color with a thin and tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and caramels. Flavors quite spicy and of roasted malts with some dark fruits. A bitter and sour ending.

Really a typical Dubbel, quite average as far as the style goes. Sweet malty aroma and flavor. Hints of yeast and dark fruit. All the flavors of a good Dubbel, just down scaled a little.

Fudge-coloured beer with a tight and longlasting head. The aroma has some distinct, unpleasant aroma, like diesel. The taste is really thin, just hints of taffee and syrup. Apparently this beer has suffered a lot from quality changes.

11.2 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown, almost black with a nearly non-existent tan head. Smoky, sweet malt aroma matches the flavor. My favorite of the mix pack so far.

11.2oz bottle. Deep brown color, nice foamy head. Rich malty taste, this is a quality Dubbel. No trace of alcohol. Lots of yeasty tastes to complement the Belgian effervescence. Thick and rich, without being too heavy or overbearing. Nice!

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2010 pours brown with an offwhite head. notes of whiskey, raison, brown sugar, and spices. bottle looks like an overgrown nipple it seems.

rerate. thanks anand! aroma of rum cake, prunes, and sponge bread. lightly smoked bread and earthy doughy belgian candy. tangy, dirty, plum beer. nice enough.

Poured into a chalice. Aromas of bananas and coffee. Initial taste of roasted malts and ended with a slight bittersweet taste. A little light palate for my taste. Would prefer a more creamier dubbel.
