Bornem Dubbel

Bottle. High off-white creamy good looking head. Spicy malt aroma. Caramel butter hops flavor.

330ml bottle poured a clear brown with little fishys and a large lasting amber head. Aromas of dark fruit, molasses and a hint of spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of brown sugar, light raisin,fig and a hint of spice with a lingering semisweet finish.

Pours brown with an off white head. Smells fruity with some figs and raisins thrown in. Taste is sweet and sugary.

Pours out a deep brown color with a very nice fluffy head. Aroma is not very strong, but what was there told of some fruit and sweet malts. The taste isn’t overlly complex, rather thin, and drinkable for a beer this strong. Taste is of some fruit, brown sugar and some caramel on the finish. Not a bad beer, but it lacked some complexity.

Pours a dark brown with some reddish hues near the bottom of the glass. The head was rather large and long lasting on this beer, as I pretty expected it would be. Aroma is some dark fruits, light chocolate and caramel, light earthy yeast and candy sugar. The aroma is nice but more subtle than some of the dubbels I’ve had. Taste is sweet caramel, some light chocolate and dark fruit, clean, slightly earthy finish. decent example.

Bought this in a Flanders, Belgium 6pk. ( global beer network promotion) Dark brown, white head. Lots of caramel flavors.

Bottle. Brown with a light brown head. Aroma moderate malty and hoppy. Flavour is sweet and fruity, notes of caramel malts and mild spices too, slightly acidic finish.

Bottle from Utobeer. Dark treacle color with a great towering head of foam. Lovely aroma, so strong you only need a small sip for a good taste. Very tasty, malty hoppy and slightly sweet with hints of chocolate or candied fruit. Good palate. Enjoyed it immensely
