Bornem Dubbel

On tap. Mahogany color, fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet and slightly spicy. Taste is spicy sweet with a slight sour aftertaste-but it’s not overpowering. Rather refreshing.

I enjoyed this beer bunches. One of the best heads I’ve seen out of a bottle (on pouring, crested over my 16oz glass) and although it settled, a quarter inch or so survived for duration. The odor was slightly musty but weak. The color was an awesome cloudy dark amber to brown. The mouthfeel was hearty with strong carbonation. The flavor was initially sweet but kept honest with a sourness. Enjoyable.

The head was totally out of control,poured it carefully ,got about an inch of beer, 4 inches of head,and this went on for the rest of the bottle.Sweet slightly tart aroma,spices and dark fruit, big bitter finish. There are no bad beers made in Belgium,just good and great, this a good one. That "Attack of the Blob" like head is irritating

Medium hazy brown, good, long lasting, loosely formed head. Yeasty aroma with a bit of earth and faint fruit. Flavor was faint fruit, some sweet caramel, a touch of sour dough bread, and yeast. Not bad, but just didn’t do a lot for me.

Cloudy amber color with a huge foamy head. Roasted malt flavor with a hint of raisins.

seemed more bitter than the triple, leading to a little less enjoyment. same monster head, same lemon notes, darker but not as nice.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is light caramel malt and some roastiness. The flavour has the same elements, but alittle bit anonymous.

Dark ruby. big toffee head. Aroma is yeasty and roasted. I can’t imagine living of this for 40 days. This is bitter and toffee like. Not a whole lot going on. A full beer and heavy on the malt
