Mar 25, 2005 Extremely cloudy light brown, little to no head, tan in color. Aromas of toffee, caramel, white wine, smooth malts, weka cider, and believe it or not smelt like wintergreen mint, though very slight. Flavors consisiting of coffee, toffee, caramel, maple syrup, sweet grapes, and a little mint.

Mar 24, 2005 Very dark and cloudy. Smells kinda carmely and chocolatey. Taste is very malty and smooth with some caramel. A little bitterness and alcohol aftertaste.

Mar 18, 2005 03.17.05 33cl bottle Murky brown pour with medium beige head. Sour bread aromas, cherry. Flavors are plain, a bit sour, sweet and malty, fresh bread. Some raisin and cinnamon. It’s decent enough to drink again but, whatever.

Mar 7, 2005 Hazy mahogony pour with a big bubble lasting tan head. Lemony sour, sweet malts and banana bread spiced nose. Fruity, plum and cherry jam. Hops are clean but it is obviously heavier on the malted side. Sweet pears and sour cherry tart. Lots of yeast and brown sugar in the finish.

Mar 2, 2005 Bottled. Thin, murky brown in appearance. Frothy tan head. Big malt aroma with notes of dark fruits and yeast. Sweet, sharp bite to the taste. Raisins and even some cherries. Dry, hoppy aftertaste with a clean finish. A little bit bubbly.

Feb 23, 2005 The aroma was malty w/ dark fermented fruit and coriander. The beer poured a cloudy brownish orange color w/ thick head and lacing. The flavor was soury fermented dark fruit, coriander, malts and a slight citrus. The mouthfeel was well-rounded and smooth w/ a light carbonation.

Feb 16, 2005 This is not necessarily a great beer, but one I enjoy every time I have it. The nose is very tinny, smelling like rust, but that is only vaguely reflected in the taste. It is very much a Belgian flavour, with the distinct yeastiness inherent in many Belgians. It has a good malty character that I like, but I have to concede little else really distinctive.
