Hoss (602), Florida, USA Dec 5, 2004 What a head and long lasting. In my proper glass it took a while to get to the liquid. Tart and slighly sour, not a bad beer just not a great one. GonZoBeeR (2155), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Nov 25, 2004 nez:Sucre, epice et levure belge
gout:legerement sucre, fruite et epice.Une petit amertume en bouche. lamas (709), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA Nov 23, 2004 11.2 oz bottle. Pours a deep ruby color with a MONSTROUS tan head. Aroma is slightly malty and sour. Taste is malty and fruity especially of bananas. A little dry. Carbonation is high but that only accentuates the fruitiness. Beer Snob (378), Ontario, Canada Nov 18, 2004 Updated: Nov 20, 2005Sweet malty aroma, pours like a frothy iced tea. The head lasts a long time. Some hops, and the alcohol is well hidden, but overall, leaves me wanting a better brew. Decent, but no guts to it. Pailhead (2572), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Nov 14, 2004 Bottle: Aroma is citrusy with light sourness and spice. Pours a dark brown with a reddish tinge if held to the light. Huge off-white head with excellent retention. Caramel flavor up front with a relatively strong tart and lightly sour finish. Lightly acidic in the finish. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA Nov 12, 2004 Pours semi-cloudy dark brown with a HUGE thick bubbly head. Aroma is very sweet roasted malt/sugar/brown sugar. Liitle sour up front, nutty undertones in the middle and a very nice sweet malt finish. Very good overall. Geiserich (1775), Vienna, Austria Nov 12, 2004 Bottled:<ii>
Aroma is sweet and fruity. Taste has candies but is not too sweet. Sparkling lemonade-taste, fruity. Finish is dry but with only few bitterness. Something astringent and sourish. All in all to vineous. pintbypint (1002), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Nov 10, 2004 330ml brown bottle. Red brown colour, head is gerenous, fluffy and off white. Sweet brown sugar aroma. Starts with a slight malt sweetness - notes of light brown sugar and raisins, then gets bit sour tasting, notes of lemon show up near the finish.
