COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Very dark, coffee color - full rich body - staying head - effervescent nose - soft velvet feeling in the mouth - luscious. Malt character with a hoppy aftertouch. Monks used to fast on this type of beer for 40 days! No food, only beer.

malt and spice aroma. HUGE frothy off white head on top of a cloudy brownish beer. the biggest head i’ve ever seen. annoying fizzy mouthfeel that actually foams up in your mouth making it difficult to even swallow this stuff. I had to wait a half an hour for the head to go down.

a dark caramel color, foamy head, heavy carbonation for an abbey. taste was good but safe. Not as complex as most abbys are. Decent brew

pours brown with a very large off-white lasting fizzy head. Aroma of belgian style spices, citrusy fruit, sweet malts, and alcohol. Flavor is sweet, fruity, slightly spicey, smooth with some alcohol present, good body, good brew.

Smells like lemongrass, red grapes, mint and tobacco (like menthol cigarettes.) Tastes like Fruit-a-burst gum, some grape kool aid, some lemon, orange, and green apple.

Pours with a lot of carbonation. Reddish brown color with a big fluffy head. Scents of raisins and medicine. The flavor is crisp on the tongue displaying flavors of spices, raisins and that Belgian medicinal taste. Not much lasting body which was a disappointment.

Bottle at Stellas. Nice brown body with a typical tan lacing head. Aroma was fruits, some raisan and some nice apples. Flavour is full and rich with lots of fruit blended with the malt. Nice malty caramel finish.
