Very dark, coffee color - full rich body - staying head - effervescent nose - soft velvet feeling in the mouth - luscious. Malt character with a hoppy aftertouch. Monks used to fast on this type of beer for 40 days! No food, only beer.

I liked this one better than the Bornem Triple. While it had a slightly heavier body, it was still pretty light compared to many Belgian beers. Darker color than the Bornem Triple""s straw colour.

I don’t really have a lot to say about this one. Aroma and flavor was too sour, something that does not belong in this style. Some malt sweetness in there, but overall not very good. Their triple is much better.

Like drinking rusty blood on a pogo stick.

Not a fan. This brewery is so half ass. They’ve got the right idea, they just don’t follow through. Drinkable.

Slightly cloudy reddish-brown colour with a strong but quickly disappearing head. Heavy sweet malt aroma with a hint of yeast. Overly carbonated body. Strong malt flavour with the lingering after-taste of a sour apple dipped in caramel. Not unpleasant, but fairly uninspired.

(29Dec2002--330mL bottle) World’s frothiest head? Has the look (and taste) of an infected beer; excessively thick, lumpy head, excessive yeastiness. Surprisingly little effervescence. Excessively lacy. Prominent acetaldehyde (green apple) both in the nose and palate. Yeasty, somewhat hoppy, somewhat malty (syrup). Thin mouthfeel. My wife bought this for me in a special ’global beer network’ 6 pack. Perhaps the storage was improper, because the beer I’m tasting is shite, irregardless of the much better impressions of other members.

Dark brown colour. Large head. Yeasty, floral, plumy, and a light touch of caramel in the aroma. Sweet, yeasty flavour. Finishes dry and a little flat.

Fizzy and light-bodied, like a schwarzbier. Mine had chunky yeast clumps in the brew that poured out in globs. Not pretty, but the beer didn’t taste "off" in any way. Slightly sweet and mild. Unchallenging.

Lactic aroma. Brown color, light brown head, fair lace. Sweet and sour, orange, bit thin. Short finish. You can drink it and won’t regret it. But I wouldn’t buy it again.

Very foamy! Dosen’t have the Alcoholic punch that the Trippel has. High carbonation. My bottle was sitting for a week undisturbed I opened it and out comes the foam all over the place. I got used to the smell of this beer since it was all over me. Very fruity whenever I put it in my mouth it was automatic fizz. Good flavour. TOO MUCH CARBONATION.
