The nose is of sweet malt, figs, and some musty kind of smell. Some fruity and nutty notes in taste. Thin body with a watery finish. TheJester (747), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

Aroma of sweet, over-ripe fruit and alcohol. Flavour of dark, roasted fruit, toast, and something else. And yeast. Alcohol is not obtrusive. No bitterness to speak of, but not overly sweet. coldbrewky (742), Saugerties, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Bottle: Dense tan head that sits and sits. Pours a cloudy brown with a strong presence of cherries in the nose. A surprisingly light fruity and somewhat watery body. Appearance in the ass is not flattering. Finish is mellow and round with a bit of cherry pit tang. hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 23, 2004 11.2 oz bottle. Pours a deep ruby color with a MONSTROUS tan head. Aroma is slightly malty and sour. Taste is malty and fruity especially of bananas. A little dry. Carbonation is high but that only accentuates the fruitiness. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 27, 2006 Sharp carbonation killed the score. Aroma is weak but sweet and yeasty. Nice looking brown with a pillowy head with big bubbles. Flavor is weak sweet and yeast, typical of a belgian, just too weak. ericnixon (719), Northampton, Massachusetts, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 22, 2004 A little too sweet to be a world-class beer. Pours sweetly but uninterestingly, given absolutely no impression whatsoever. Flavor is a little lacking, a little too much yeast was used I fear, a little dry. I think I am being a little too critical of this beer at this point, overall a pretty decent selection.
