Sweet spices, alcohol, and effervesent carbination malt combination didn’t strike me or my mates bang on. Tart. Lovely head. Dry and unsatisfying aftertaste. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 1, 2005 Bottle (330ml). Beer of Belgium Gift pack 4of6. Poured murky reddish-brown with a this fizzy-creamy-foamy beige lasting head. Aroma of sweet fruit, sweet roast malt, even a bit creamy - not terribly smooth, but nice elements. Taste is ripe apple, alcohol bitterness, mild roast malt, a bit spicy - mildly sweet but a bit harsh in the finish. Fizzy, slightly metallic mouthfeel - almost burnt by the bottom of the glass. If I weren’t partial to the style, this would be 3 or lower. Radek Kliber (4001), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

2004-01-XX. Red amber brown body with a big fluffy white head. Sort of odd flavours mingling about. Thinner body than I like in a dubbel. Not bad but uninspiring. 5/3/5/3/11 - 2.7 Bottle from LCBO Rciesla (3915), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Flavour was sweet with light notes of bitterness. Ok Dubbel.
