Poured a hazy yellow. Very carbonated which lead to a large head. Spicy beginning which leads to a very dry finish. Not really what I look for in a beer.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to light orange with a huge white head. Aroma is slight grassy, spiced yeasty. Flavour is not as sweet as other triples which is a nice thing. A more sharp spice note appears in this one, but also seems a bi grassy towards hoppy. Somewhat undefineable triple but nice spiced and dry.

pours clear golden, almost exact opposite of the double. nose is mild citrus, yeast, and spice. initial taste is crispy and pleasent.. but it soon finishes sour which lingers. fizzy, sour, dry, finish is too long, not balanced. 9% is good tho.

Pours a pale golden colour with a big froathy head that has very good retention. Aroma is very yeasty with citrusy notes. The flavour reflects the aroma with yeast and citrus being the most dominate, with notes of spice, but thats where the fun ends, the aftertaste of this beer is brutal, it’s a acidic bitter metal taste that completely ruined the whole thing for me. Lucky for me you can get rid of that taste by drinking more beer.

Cloudy yellow-orange appearance. High carbonation led to huge white head. Dissipated almost completely leaving nice, thick lacing. Aroma is a slight sweet tart candy...citrus. Flavor is tart and refreshing w/ a hint of orange. However, finishes a little medicinal with bitter orange rind. Carbonation is annoying. Not one of my favorites.

33cl bottle, 9% a/v From a gift 6 pack from LCBO. Pours a nice shimmery gold colour with a thick white head which dissapates fairly quick, Looks almost like a hefeweizen with a bigger head. Nose is fruity and yeast, and the taste is very intriguing. The beer looks fairly plain but the taste tells you how wrong you are. Tastes like it should be a much darker beer, with notes of spice, fruit, and alcohol. Warms you up nicely on the way down. A very nice beer with a long but crisp and mild aftertaste. Very well done and probably my favorite gold beer ever.

[bottle, label: OLD BUCCANEER Reserve] Pale golden, milky body with a huge, soapy white head. Smells like ripe fruit (prunes, bananas), spices (nutmeg)?, more than a hint of alcohol. Initial mellow sweetness, mixed with licorice and juniper, gives way to a tangy and dry bitter finish. Warm aftertaste with a lingering hops mouthfeel, even if a trace of "medicinal" flavour still lingers on. Interesting even if a bit rough/unrefined. Since my labe doesn’t really say "tripel" I’mnot detracting points for not being really true to the style. :)
